The Performance Data Committee, composed of teachers, administrators, community members, and members of the Board of Directors, is charged by the MSAD #51 Board of Directors to define and collect information in areas that, when aggregated, present a balanced view of the District’s progress towards attaining its mission. This report is intended to provide information to the community, parents, Board of Directors, administration and staff as a foundation for decision-making and to allow assessment of the success of the District’s mission over time.

The policies of our District provide an important framework for the work of our administration. They assist us in responding with consistency and fairness to situations ranging from board governance issues, personnel management, materials procurement, discrimination and sexual harassment, instructional practices and community relations, to student achievement and discipline.

The Learning Results identify the knowledge and skills essential to prepare Maine students for work, for higher education, for citizenship, and for personal fulfillment. Strongly supported by the public, the Learning Results are built on the premises that: • all students should aspire to high levels of learning; • achievement should be assessed in a variety of ways; and • completion of public school should have common meaning throughout the state.

The MSAD#51 Technology committee, composed of teachers, technology staff members, administrators, community members, and members of the Board of Directors, is responsible for developing and implementing the technology plan for the district.
